Take Care of Your Dyed Hair

Coloring your hair is the easiest way to get a hair color you want. But it’s no longer secret that coloring your hair can cause a serious damage to your hair. Most problems found is split end, dry and dull hair. The chemical substances found on hair coloring product can damage your hair and scalp. There are some tips to take care of your dyed hair. The treatments should be done before and after the coloring process.

Take Care of Your Dyed Hair

Before you color your hair:
  • Avoid wash your hair 24 hours before the coloring process. Wash your hair can lose your natural oil on your hair and scalp.
  • When you wash your hair, choose a clarifying shampoo. Clarifying shampoo will clean up your hair from any chemical substance left on your hair. If your hair clean, it will make the coloring process perfect. The color will stand long time and spread evenly.
  • Don’t use the conditioner after washing your hair. Conditioner will layering your hair strand and makes the coloring product hard to patch on your hair.
  • Make sure that you are not allergic with the product that you will be used, take a small amount of your product and put in in your neck or back of your ear. If there is an allergic reaction, don’t use the product. If you dye your hair by your own at home, read the instruction wisely. Don’t forget to use latex rubber and towel for protect your hands and neck.


After you colored your hair:
  • Wait for 48 hours after coloring your hair if you want to wash your hair. Give the color product to grab into your hair strand. Use cold water to wash your hair. Cold water will prevent your cuticle opened and make your hair dry.
  • Use the shampoo and conditioner that specific for colored hair. The shampoo and conditioner will take care of your color. It will retain your color and take care of your hair health.
  • Never forget to use conditioner for moisture your hair. Most colored hair will have a dry texture and split end. So the moisturizer conditioner will be the best savior. Put extra amount of moisturizer on end of your hair to prevent split and reddish end.
  • Use spray conditioner special for used on dry hair. Use the product that contains sunscreen or SPF. The conditioner will layer your hair stand. The layer will protect your hair from sun, dust and light that can dry your hair.
  • Try to avoiding sunlight, alum and hair dryer. Alum can be found at your swimming pool. Those things can make your colored hair dry and dull.
  • If you want to use hair dryer, use it at cool temperature. It is better for colored hair to have a natural dry. But if you are in hurry, you can occasionally use the hair dryer. Use it on cool temperature and don’t use it too near from your hair.
  • If you want to bow your hair, don’t pull your hair too hard. Colored hair is easy to be dry. Its mean make the hair fragile and easy to break.
  •  Use hair mask, serum or other hair treatment once a week. It will help to keep the moisture.
  • Regularly to re-dye your hair to keep the color. It is wise to re-dye your hair once a month.
